People come to counselling for many different reasons, having individual needs. It is an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of yourself and your present situation by talking through issues and exploring change. You may feel that you need to speak to someone in a private confidential setting to explore a difficulty or distressing feelings and it can be valuable to talk to someone who is totally independent from your life.
